Ysgol Carreg Hirfaen – Official Opening confirmed

Ysgol Carreg Hifaen will have it’s official opening on Friday 8th July 2016. The Cwmann based school was built fro approx. £5.7million.
Ysgol Carreg Hirfaen was delivered through Carmarthenshire County Council’s Modernising Education Programme.
Catering for pupils aged between four and 11, the new building, sited adjacent to the Canolfan Pentref Cwmann also has provision for Cylch Meithrin Coedmor.
The unique scheme addresses key educational objectives, and provides a community resource.
Along with the state of the art building and facilities, the school has a 3G artificial grass pitch, for both school and community use.
Ysgol Carreg Hirfaen was created in 2000 when the previous three schools in the area -Ysgol Ffarmers, Ysgol Llanycrwys and Ysgol Coedmor – were federated.
